Judith Cherni is a Senior Research Fellow at Imperial College Londons Centre for Environmental Policy. Her research focuses on sustainable development, renewable energy technology, and environmental policy, with a specific emphasis on developing regions like Latin America, Asia, and Africa. She earned her PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
She is actively involved in promoting race equity and feels it is important to inspire future generations by increasing the visibility of underrepresented people in senior academic roles. Judith has led numerous international projects aimed at providing clean and equal energy access in off-grid areas and transforming domestic waste.
Judiths work has directly contributed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those concerning affordable and clean energy (SDG 7) and sustainable cities (SDG 11).
