Kapil Dhingra, MD, MBA, FACEP
Login to view DISC.Kapil Dhingra is the Physician-in-Chief for the Kaiser Permanente San Leandro Medical Center, overseeing clinical operations for the Greater Southern Alameda Area. An emergency physician by training and a UC Berkeley and Tulane University alumnus, he was named one of Modern Healthcares "Top 25 Emerging Leaders" in 2019.
Outside of his executive role, family is central to his life. He and his wife have three children and he enjoys spending as much time as possible with them. Having grown up in Louisiana, he is now a proud UC Berkeley supporter, often exclaiming "Go Bears! ".
He has led significant initiatives, including the expansion of surgical services to transgender patients and the launch of a new on-site urgent care center.
