Kara Slater

Kara Slater serves as the Director of Operations at Hope College, where she oversees the physical plant. A Licensed Builder with project management experience from GDK Construction, she is also a LEED Accredited Professional. She earned her bachelors degree from Calvin University and is a Certified Educational Facilities Professional (CEFP).

Outside of her primary role, Kara enjoys visiting the local farmers market in Holland and loves to cook with the food she finds there. This interest in local produce highlights her appreciation for the community and fresh ingredients.

She was instrumental in Hope Colleges first-ever LEED Silver certification for the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts.
