Kate Warriner is the Chief Transformation and Digital Officer at Alder Hey, recognized as the #1 CIO in the UK for 2025. She leads digital transformation with a focus on improving patient care through technology, data, and AI. She holds an MSC in Health Informatics and is a Fellow of the British Computer Society.
Outside of her executive role, Kate is a passionate musician and a University of Liverpool music graduate. She serves as Chair of the Maghull Wind Orchestra, where she is also the principal flautist, and plays saxophone in the Phil Shotton Big Band, using music as a way to relax and build community.
A music graduate by education, Kate began her distinguished NHS career by chance after taking a job as a ward clerk while at university.
