Katy Whitelaw

Katy is a Communications Specialist for Strathcarron Hospice, leveraging a diverse background in journalism, public relations, and event management. A graduate of the University of Strathclyde, she is described by peers as an "exceptional communicator", professional, and creative, with proven expertise in crisis communications and stakeholder engagement.

Deeply rooted in her community, Katy founded the "Bridge of Allan Cares" group and the "Happy to Chat" campaign to combat loneliness. A mother of three, she actively volunteers with Stirling Albion Junior Academy and advocates for local issues like child safety. Her work is driven by a profound personal connection to her communitys well-being.

She co-founded The Scribblers Picnic, a music festival that has raised significant funds for the very hospice she now works for, in memory of her late father.
