Originally from Rochester, New York, Kens career was inspired by his experience as a literacy volunteer. He is a founding member of Building Walls of Wisdom, a non-profit dedicated to establishing schools in underserved communities. To recharge, he enjoys cycling, gardening, and traveling with his wife.
As the grandson of Cuban immigrants, his passion for education began by volunteering as an ESOL teacher to give back to the program his grandparents used.
