Kimberly Goodspeed, MD

Dr. Kimberly Goodspeed is a physician-scientist and Senior Medical Director at Ultragenyx, specializing in genetic medicines for rare neurodevelopmental disorders. A board-certified child neurologist with a Master of Science from UT Southwestern, she leads global clinical trials, translating her deep expertise in conditions like Pitt-Hopkins syndrome into developing novel therapies.

She is passionate about patient advocacy and education, actively serving on the ASGCT Patient Outreach Committee, for which she is the incoming Chair. Dr. Goodspeed frequently collaborates with patient groups to develop meaningful, patient-centered outcome measures for clinical trials and is dedicated to mentoring trainees in research.
