Leah Martin is a Minister in the Government of Nova Scotia, holding portfolios for LNu Affairs, Communications, Youth, and the Status of Women. A graduate of Dalhousie University, she was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Cole Harbour and is the first Indigenous person elected to the Nova Scotia Legislature.
Outside of her political career, she has a deep-rooted passion for basketball, having played for the Dalhousie Tigers university team, coached for over a decade, and played semi-professionally. She is also a mother to two sons.
Unique fact: Leah is a member of the Millbrook First Nation and the first Indigenous MLA in Nova Scotias history.
