Lorrie Cranor is the Director of Carnegie Mellons CyLab and a distinguished professor specializing in security and privacy. She co-founded the security awareness firm Wombat Security Technologies, acquired by Proofpoint, and previously served as the Chief Technologist for the U. S. Federal Trade Commission. She earned her BS from Washington University in St. Louis.
