Marco Bassi

His expertise lies in fintech, payment systems, platform architecture, and scaling engineering teams. A graduate of the Università degli Studi di Milano, he has previously held roles at Empatic and IBM, where he earned an Outstanding Technical Achievement Award.
Outside of his tech leadership role, Marco is a father and a long-time football referee with the Italian Referee Association. His passions include bike touring, having completed a 1500 km trip across Italy, as well as cooking, indie music, and Italian comic books. He also co-organizes the Engineering Leader Milano meetup.
Unique fact: Marco has been an official football referee since 2005.
