Marlen J. Trujillo is the CEO of Spring Branch Community Health Center (SBCHC), where she has dedicated over 15 years to addressing health disparities. She holds a Ph. D. in Public Health from UTHealth Houston and was instrumental in SBCHCs founding, having served on its original board.
Born to immigrant parents, Marlen is a lifelong Houstonian passionate about her community. She mentors first-generation students and has a strong connection to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, which funded her first degree. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
At age 27, she became the youngest Federally Qualified Health Center CEO in Texas, leading the same clinic she helped establish as a volunteer.
