Mathias Svahn
Login to view DISC.As CEO of NextCell Pharma, Mathias Svahn is a serial entrepreneur who applies his Ph. D. in Molecular Cell Biology from Karolinska Institutet to advance cell therapies. He founded Swedens largest private stem cell bank, Cellaviva, and also serves as Chairman of QVance, demonstrating deep leadership in the biotech and regenerative medicine space.
Outside of his executive roles, Mathias enjoys slalom skiing, cycling, and practices Brazilian jiu-jitsu with his son. His journey into stem cell banking was personally motivated by the birth of his first child, where he personally collected and prepared the cells in his lab.
He has collected and stored stem cells for all three of his children, driven by the hope of developing new treatments for the future.
