Matthew Sarb is a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon at Dickson Medical Associates, specializing in joint replacement, sports medicine, and orthopedic trauma. A veteran of the United States Air Force, his approach is informed by his education at the University of Notre Dame and his belief in conservative treatment before surgical intervention.
His personal history is deeply intertwined with athletics; a high school football injury sparked his interest in orthopedics, leading him to walk on to the varsity football team at Notre Dame. Outside of his practice, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, having moved to Middle Tennessee to be closer to family.
His father, also a Notre Dame football player, gave up his spot in a game so that Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger could play, and Matthew later wore Rudys number, earning the nickname "Rudy II. "
