Matthew is a hands-on CTO and Founder of Econode with over 27 years of international experience in New Zealand and Southeast Asia. As a full-stack computer engineer and IoT architect, he is an internationally recognized leader in applying technology to the conservation sector, specializing in systems architecture and network technologies.
Outside of his professional work, Matthew is a dedicated environmentalist. He is deeply passionate about applying his extensive technical skills to tackle one of his biggest challenges: solving New Zealands pest problem and protecting the countrys unique ecology through innovative technology.
At age thirteen, Matthew was already building his own electronics, using a soldering iron to make a joystick for his Sinclair ZX81 micro-computer.
