Melissa A. Paul--Franklyn is the Attorney-in-Charge at The Legal Aid Societys Juvenile Rights Practice and an Adjunct Professor at New York Law School. A graduate of Cardozo School of Law, she specializes in family court, focusing on abuse, neglect, and juvenile justice cases while managing and training attorneys.
Melissa maintains strong ties to her heritage and community. She was recently the keynote speaker for the Grenadian Nationals Association of Montreal at their gala celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Grenada’s Independence, reflecting her active involvement in cultural events and community leadership outside of her legal career.
She co-authored a chapter on defining abuse and neglect in the latest edition of the American Bar Associations guide, "Child Welfare Law and Practice. "
