Michael Ferguson, PhD, is a Harvard neuroscientist pioneering the field of neurospirituality. As an Instructor in Neurology at Harvard Medical School, he directs the Neurospirituality Lab at the Center for Brain Circuit Therapeutics, studying the brain processes that constitute human spirituality. He holds a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Utah.
He directs Wellness & Self-Discovery programming for first-year students at Harvard College, where he launched the "Crimson Compassion" and "Earth Compassion" initiatives. Michael is also a certified Mindful Self-Compassion teacher, a multidisciplinary scholar, and an artist who has shared his own musical compositions.
Unique fact: Michael was the named plaintiff in the landmark Ferguson v. JONAH lawsuit, which established the legal precedent that conversion therapy constitutes consumer fraud.
