Mirela McDonald is the Vice President of Business Development at Khulisa Management Services, with over 25 years of experience in international development. A Civil Engineer by training with an MBA from the University of Maryland, she has managed project teams in more than 30 countries and secured over $160 million in contracts.
Outside of work, Mirela is active in the Albanian-American community, having helped establish a center for Albanian language Mass and cultural events. She also supports local heritage preservation, evidenced by her contributions to the C&O Canal Trust, and is fluent in Albanian and Italian with knowledge of French and Spanish.
She has worked on projects funded by numerous international donors, including USAID, the Department of State, and the World Bank.
