A first-generation immigrant from China who grew up in Detroit, Nan enjoys music, culture, and puzzles. He is a fan of all Detroit sports teams and describes himself as possessing a general sense of "nerdom. " For five years, he also taught a course at Stanford on applied AI and venture capital.
He co-founded Dimension in March 2022 after leaving an established role as Managing Director at Obvious Ventures, successfully raising an oversubscribed first fund of $350 million.
