Narciso Martín Quijada is the Head of the Bioinformatics and Data Science Unit at the Institute of Functional Biology and Genomics (IBFG, CSIC-USAL). With a PhD in Food Science and Biotechnology, his expertise lies in analyzing the microbiome of various environments using high-throughput DNA sequencing and bioinformatic tools.
He received the Extraordinary Doctorate Award from the University of Burgos and the Best Doctoral Thesis in Food Microbiology award from the Spanish Society of Microbiology.
