Nat Baca is a Director of Engineering at the Wikimedia Foundation, leading teams responsible for core user experiences on Wikipedia. His background spans iOS, full-stack web, and even C-based system daemons, with previous roles at Apple, Spotify, and the United States Digital Service. He holds a B. A. S. from Stanford University.
Outside of his day job, Nat founded the Albuquerque chapter of Nerd Nite, a monthly lecture series held in a bar. He has studied Mandarin Chinese since kindergarten, co-edited a travel guide to Beijing, speaks numerous languages, and lives in Albuquerque with his wife, Eileen, where they enjoy flying drones and growing plants.
