As Head of IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity at Liontrust, Paul Mathanarajah has over a decade of leadership experience in the financial sector. He focuses on aligning security strategy with business goals, specializing in cyber risk governance, cloud transformation, and operational resilience. He completed the Oxford Cyber Security for Business Leaders programme.

Outside of work, Paul stays current on emerging technology trends and informed opinions. He enjoys listening to tech and finance podcasts, such as discussions on the limitations of large language models, using his weekends to catch up on the latest conversations from industry leaders.

Paul closely monitors how geopolitical events, like rising tensions in the Middle East, translate into direct cybersecurity threats from nation-state actors.
