Peg Scott is the CEO of Union State Bank, where she has worked for over 40 years. After starting as a teller, she rose through the ranks and famously led a group of local investors to purchase the bank in 2007 to keep it locally owned. She is a passionate advocate for community banking at state and national levels.
Growing up on a dairy farm instilled a strong work ethic that she applies to both her career and personal life. Married to a farmer, Jim, she enjoys hobbies like canning, sewing, and gardening. Her daughter, Jessi, also works alongside her at the bank as Vice President of Operations.
When the bank she worked at was put up for sale, she convinced her husband and 33 local investors to buy it.
