Peter Desantis
Login to view DISC.Peter Desantis is the SVP of AWS Utility Computing, overseeing engineering and product management for core services like Compute, Storage, and Machine Learning, as well as AWS Custom Silicon. An Amazon veteran, he was instrumental in the original launch of Amazon EC2. He earned a dual BA in Economics and Computer Science from Dartmouth College.
He has a keen interest in the deep engineering that powers AWS and enjoys explaining the "how" behind the technology, often using analogies like the deep roots of trees to describe long-term infrastructure investments. He grew up in Orlando, Florida, and previously worked at Netscape.
