Remko van der Pols was a principal consultant and the director of The Lifecycle Company, which he founded in 2008. He was a key architect of the ASL and BiSL frameworks, profoundly influencing application and information management. A graduate of Radboud University, colleagues often described him as original in thought and action.
He was known as a relational and humorous person who was deeply committed to advancing his field. This passion was evident through his work as a lecturer at several universities, including Erasmus University, and his role as a jury member for the Dutch ICT Architecture awards.
In recognition of his significant contributions to IT and information services, he was appointed a Knight in the Order of Orange Nassau.
