Rex Burkhead is a retired NFL running back with a 10-year career, including a Super Bowl LIII championship with the New England Patriots. A University of Nebraska alumnus with a degree in history, he played for the Bengals, Patriots, and Texans after being drafted in 2013, officially retiring in 2024.
Off the field, he is deeply committed to philanthropy, particularly fighting pediatric brain cancer. He helped establish and serves on the board of the Team Jack Foundation, inspired by his friendship with a young cancer patient. He and his wife have two sons and reside in Plano, Texas.
Burkhead was a two-time first-team Academic All-American at the University of Nebraska, graduating in just three and a half years.
