Richard Jackson is the Bishop of Hereford, a role he assumed in 2020 after serving as the Bishop of Lewes. His career is focused on church growth and rural ministry, underpinned by an academic background in Agriculture and Forest Sciences from the University of Oxford and an MSc from Cranfield University.
Outside of his official duties, he is known as the "biking bishop" for his passion for motorcycles, particularly his Harley Davidson. His interests also include walking, carpentry, and spending time with his wife, three children, and grandchildren.
He has a unique personal goal: to trace his ancestry back to the 13th century by visiting churches from Leominster to the Welsh Border.
