Richard Stokes is the Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Boarding Schools Association (ABSA), with a career in the boarding sector spanning over four decades. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Flinders University and holds a Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential. He is recognized for advancing the professional standards and visibility of boarding within Australia.
Outside of his executive role, Richard is deeply involved in basketball, having served as a coach for the Northside Wizards Basketball Association and the Deagon Destroyers Basketball Club. This long-standing passion for the sport provides a balance to his professional life in education management. He is married with two adult children.
Richard was instrumental in developing and introducing the first-ever national boarding standards for Australia in 2015.
