His career includes an 18-year tenure at Goldman Sachs, where he was Managing Director and Head of Private Wealth Management in London. He holds a BA in Economics and Management from the University of Leeds.
Outside of his financial career, Robert is a passionate supporter of the arts and charitable causes. He serves as the Chair of The Contemporary Art Society, a Trustee of the National Portrait Gallery, and an Emeritus Trustee of the Royal Academy of Arts Trust. He has also collected contemporary art for over three decades.
He has co-founded several businesses in finance, renewable energy, and technology, including a specialist lender for the agricultural sector.
