Ron Young is a serial entrepreneur who transitioned from a successful career at Fortune 500 companies like Levis and Nokia to founding three tech start-ups that achieved nine-digit exits. He is also the Founding Chairman of the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF), a global standards body he grew into a multi-billion dollar industry.
Outside of his professional life, Ron is a highly accomplished and passionate sailor. He has competed in over 3, 000 races, participated in six Americas Cup campaigns, and chairs the Wednesday Yachting Luncheon at the St. Francis Yacht Club. He also founded the non-profit Family Day Kite Festival in San Francisco.
Ron was named the "Lloyd Ryland Yachting Historian of the Year" for producing over 800 talks on nautical topics.
