Rowena Preiss is the Creative Director and Founder of NCL (New Concept Lighting) London, a specialist lighting design firm. Her extensive career includes serving as the UK Creative Director for Philips Lighting, where she led design and innovation projects, including integrating digital media displays at The O2 arena. She earned her BA and MA from Central St Martins.
Rowena believes lighting is a powerful tool to connect people with their environment and focuses on the psychological effects and atmosphere it can create. Her work often bridges the gap between sophisticated, advanced technology and historical or architecturally significant spaces, aiming to enhance the human experience.
She has been instrumental in major technology overhauls for clients, such as introducing advanced robotic lighting systems for venues like 8 Northumberland.
