Runzhi Zhang is a Ph. D. candidate at the University of Virginia specializing in materials science and additive manufacturing. His research focuses on Laser Powder Bed Fusion and Binder Jet Printing for thermal management and energy applications. He has developed novel copper alloys and recently completed an R&D co-op at Lydian.
Beyond his research, Runzhi is a dedicated educator and mentor at the University of Virginia. He serves as a course instructor and graduate school mentor, demonstrating a passion for teaching. He is a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honor society, recognized for service and academic excellence.
