Sandeep Talwar

Sandeep Talwar is a co-founder and Director at Banyan Tree Advisors, where he focuses on fund management. An alumnus of BITS Pilani and IIM Bangalore, his career in equity research and asset management spans nearly three decades. His investment philosophy is deeply rooted in value investing principles.

Inspired by Benjamin Graham, Sandeep is passionate about business models, history, and statistics. He took a nine-month sabbatical earlier in his career to travel around India with a backpack, an experience that highlights his adventurous spirit outside of the financial world.

His career in portfolio management was sparked by a long-held desire for entrepreneurship, which was further fueled when a professor at IIM Bangalore told him the institution trained managers, not entrepreneurs.
