An expert in mass spectrometry and advanced analytics, he holds a PhD from Utrecht University and previously worked at Johnson & Johnson. He is passionate about digitalizing research to create impactful biotherapeutic solutions.
Outside of the lab, Sem is dedicated to endurance sports, which he credits for building a resilient mindset. He applies the same focus and determination required for athletics to solving complex scientific problems and translating them into real-world applications.
He is helping to lead a Health~Holland grant-funded project to develop targeted therapies for autoimmune kidney diseases.
