His primary passion outside of work is advocating for foster youth as a co-founder of the Freedom Youth Foundation. This commitment has led him to be present at the White House for the signing of a related Executive Order, an experience he described as one he will carry forever.
His foundation was inspired by leading a peace camp for 150 youths in Novi Sad, Serbia, centered around a basketball program.
