He is a graduate of Newcastle University and was named Beverage Innovator of the Year in 2025.
Born in the Philippines, Sherwin is passionate about his culture and travels frequently to Southeast Asia for inspiration. The idea for his distillery was born from a backpacking trip, where he was inspired by the regions diverse flavors, street food, and warm-hearted people. He actively participates in the Filipino food movement.
His company is named after the endangered Tarsier primate, and he donates 10% of profits to the Philippine Tarsier Foundation to support its conservation.
