Sonya Blocker

Sonya Blocker is an Information Technology Project Analyst at Christopher Newport University, leveraging over 20 years of experience from her career as a retired U. S. Air Force Senior Master Sergeant. Her expertise lies in administrative and technology management, supported by a Bachelor of Science from Liberty University and a recent membership with the Project Management Institute.

Outside of her professional role, Sonya is actively involved in her community as a volunteer Administrative Assistant for a local worship and training center. She supports the leadership team by drafting correspondence, planning ministry activities, and managing the organizations website and social media presence, showcasing her skills in a community-focused setting.

Sonya is a decorated veteran who retired from the U. S. Air Force with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant (E-8) after more than two decades of service.
