Tanya Fabian

Tanya Fabian is the Director of Pharmacy Research at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital and an Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh. She holds both a PharmD and a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh and is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Pharmacy Specialist, focusing her research on depression and mental health.

Driven by a lifelong passion for advocacy, Tanya chose psychiatric pharmacy to be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. She is committed to fighting for the less fortunate and educating others to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and substance use disorders, a core principle she has held since childhood.

She believes a combination of empathy and advocacy is why she became a psychiatric pharmacist.
