She holds degrees from the University of Oxford and McMaster University.

She is motivated by conducting research that includes diverse populations often underrepresented in clinical trials, aiming to positively impact patient health worldwide through her work.
At 18, she moved from Canada to the UK on her own to complete her undergraduate degree at Oxford.
