Teagan Deer is the Deputy Head of Secondary at Toowoomba Anglican School, where she supports the academic, social, and emotional development of students. With a background in biomedical and reproductive science, she brings a unique, real-world perspective to her role. In 2023, she was recognized as one of The Educators "Rising Stars".
Outside of her professional duties, Teagan is deeply passionate about netball, having attended the Queensland schools competition for nearly 25 years and now managing school teams. She actively engages with students through camps and excursions and volunteers to support womens health causes in regional Queensland.
Interestingly, despite coming from a family of teachers, she was initially determined not to enter the profession and studied exotic animal breeding before discovering her passion for education.
