Terry Egger is a veteran media executive with over 40 years of experience leading major US newspapers. He has served as CEO and Publisher for prominent organizations including The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He holds a Masters degree in Speech Communication from San Diego State University.
Outside of his media career, Terry is deeply committed to civic engagement, having served on the boards of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, United Way of Greater Cleveland, and The Cleveland Museum of Art. He is described as an avid sports enthusiast and recently became Vice-Chairman of a sports and entertainment company.
After retiring in 2013, he was personally convinced to return to the industry to help save journalism in Philadelphia.
