Tom Van Buren
Login to view DISC.Tom Van Buren is a senior executive leader, serving as the Chief Operations Officer and Executive Vice President at Pico Propane and Fuels. A graduate of Cornell University with a degree in Chemical Engineering, he has extensive experience in the energy sector, including a long tenure at Ferrellgas. He is also the former Chairman of the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA).
Beyond his corporate roles, Tom is a US Army veteran who achieved the rank of Captain. His personal interests include sports, travel, and outdoor activities. He is an Eagle Scout and dedicates time to community service, having served on the board for the Surviving Spouse and Family Endowment Fund and as a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is one of only six people in the propane industrys history to have chaired both the NPGA and the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC).
