Tyler Niday is the Co-Founder and CEO of Bonsai Robotics, a company focused on solving agricultures labor crisis with vision-based autonomous technology. A graduate of MIT and Cal Poly, he previously led autonomy and mechatronics teams at Blue River Technology, contributing to the pioneering "See & Spray" technology acquired by John Deere.
Outside of his professional work, Tyler is a certified private and IFR pilot, citing flying as one of his passions. He also has an interest in outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, and more exhilarating sports such as skydiving and scuba diving. He became passionate about agricultural machinery after seeing his colleges engineering shop.
An interesting fact is that Tyler asked for a welder for Christmas when he was 12, sparked by an interest in building things from his grandfather who raced Indy cars.
