Outside of work, Zak is a lifelong field hockey player, having represented the Maltese national team and winning the Player of the Season award in 2023. He continues to play for a club in Budapest and is also an avid Formula One enthusiast who works out almost daily.
His family has a deep legacy in field hockey; his grandfather founded a club in Malta, and his brother is a professional player and coach.
