Alyson Thomas is the Chief Executive of Llais, Waless national body for citizen voice in health and social care. With a career spanning over 35 years in public service, she has held numerous senior roles, including Deputy Director at the Welsh Government and Director at Healthcare Inspectorate Wales, and holds an MSc from City University Business School.
Originally from Neath and now living near Swansea with her husband, Alyson has a deep-rooted passion for public service and community involvement. Her work focuses on enabling the public to be actively involved in decisions affecting the design and delivery of local health and social care services.
Alyson was appointed as the first-ever Chief Executive of Llais, tasked with establishing the new national organization from the ground up.
