Andin Fosam is an MD-PhD candidate at Yale School of Medicine training to become an orthopedic surgeon-scientist. Her doctoral research focuses on muscle metabolism and physiology, specifically how strength training can prevent muscle loss after surgery. She previously conducted research at the National Institutes of Health on metabolic dysfunction and health disparities.
Outside of her medical and scientific pursuits, Andin is an elite athlete for Team USA Bobsled with the goal of competing in the 2026 Winter Olympics. She was formerly a record-holding NCAA Division I hammer thrower at the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned All-America honors.
