Arica leads the Environmental Engineering Division at GAI Consultants, specializing in complex projects for power plants and industrial facilities. Her expertise includes coal-fueled power station decommissioning, abandoned mine land reclamation, and wastewater management. She holds a Professional Engineer license in six states and earned degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and St. Vincent College.
Growing up in Pittsburghs Mon Valley sparked her interest in the intersection of industry and environment. Outside of work, Aricas hobbies include camping, fishing, and both playing and coaching sports. She is also passionate about mentoring young women who are pursuing careers in STEM fields.
Inspired by seeing industrial works along the river as a child, she pursued engineering to understand the interaction between industry and the environment.
