Bill Biggs is a senior consultant and thought leader supporting the UKs adoption of robotic and autonomous systems, particularly within the maritime domain. A former Royal Navy Weapon Engineer, he has held numerous leadership roles at QinetiQ and played a leading part in delivering the Unmanned Warrior and Autonomous Warrior demonstrations.
He earned a Master of Arts from Kings College London and an MSc from Cranfield University, providing a strong academic foundation for his technical and strategic work in defence. Bill is an active contributor to the field, chairing the UK Maritime Autonomous Systems Centre of Expertise.
He led the successful delivery of two major, pioneering demonstrations of unmanned systems for both the Royal Navy (Unmanned Warrior) and the British Army (Autonomous Warrior).
