Blaine Mirasty is a passionate advocate for Indigenous tourism and Northern economic development, currently serving as a Manager at Travel Alberta. He is also the founder of Cree North Adventures, offering authentic land-based cultural experiences. Blaine is completing a Masters degree in Governance and Entrepreneurship in Northern and Indigenous Areas.
As a member of the Flying Dust First Nation, Blaine is deeply connected to his heritage. He shares the Cree worldview through land-based education, including snowshoe tours, canoeing, and Elder teachings. He is an avid photographer, often capturing the Aurora Borealis in his home territory of Treaty 6.
He competed in a business incubator competition at the University of Tromso, Norway, with a startup idea for a vertical windmill design.
