As Director of Network Services, Chris Zane leads network development, engineering, and infrastructure for the University of Hawaii system. He has progressed through roles of increasing responsibility at the university, managing major projects like submarine fiber links and high-speed services for research observatories. He is an alumnus of the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Deeply connected to the local community, Chris is an alumnus of both Punahou School and the University of Hawaii. His entire career has been dedicated to advancing the technological capabilities of Hawaiis primary educational and research institutions, showcasing a long-standing commitment to the states development.
He has led all Hawaii-based Research & Education networking activities for over a decade.
