Craig Akal

Craig Akal is a venture investor and co-founder of Elerian AI, a conversational AI company. A qualified Chartered Accountant with international experience at Deloitte and a decade in property lending at Investec, he now focuses on AI startups and commercial real estate ventures in the UK and South Africa.

Originally from South Africa, Craig has a background that includes sports, having played rugby for his schools first team. His current work with Elerian AI continues to connect with his roots, tackling the challenge of understanding South Africas diverse accents and dialects.

He transitioned from a career in corporate finance and property development to co-founding a company specializing in advanced natural language understanding.
